The former Prime Minister and Mayor of Le Havre arrived in Forézienne on Friday evening, to meet business leaders in Saint-Galmier in the evening. This Saturday, he spent the morning with Julien Borowzyck in Montbrison.
At 10:30 a.m., he sat down on the terrace of a café, in the midst of a crowd of curious people coming to greet him.
Then, in the aisles of the most beautiful market in France, the former Prime Minister was able to measure his popularity rating, always responding positively to requests for selfies and photos. The whole remained very correct with rather curious Montbrisonnais around this crowd, but without excessive demonstrations.
And like Emmanuel Macron before him, Edouard Philippe wanted to highlight some of the region’s flagship products, including fourme. He stayed about an hour and a half in the market.
But Edouard Philippe’s move to Forez is not so surprising: Julien Borowzyck was elected in 2017 under the En Marche label, the party founded by Emmanuel Macron a few months before his first election as President of the Republic.
After leaving Matignon, Édouard Philippe created his own Horizons party in October 2021. Julien Borowzyck was seduced by this new political offer and very quickly joined the ranks of Horizons.
For these legislative elections, Horizons is part of this confederation of parties that recognizes itself in the presidential majority. Thus, with Renaissance (formerly En Marche), Agir, le MoDem, Horizons finds itself under the banner “Together! presidential majority. As part of this confederation, Horizons obtained a presence in around sixty constituencies, including the sixth in the Loire. And, within this presidential majority, Julien Borowzyck was invested in the Horizons quota.
