LoL: After the LEC, Nisqy gives us an appointment in NA (New York)

In the competitive League of Legends scene, how can you not love Nisqy ? The midlaner has an endearing personality and everywhere he goes, he is unanimous. Even among Fnatic fans, he left fond memories, despite the love story that ended badly. Back on the front of the stage with MAD Lions, he succeeded by leading his teammates to the top 4 of the LEC, synonymous with Worlds.

After an accomplished regular season, some hoped to see Nisqy go to the end of his redemption bow. But the playoffs always offer a very special environment. The stakes are different and the pressure is pushed to its climax. At this little game, MAD Lions did not excel. Defeated in quick succession by Rogue (2-3) then Fnatic (1-3), the players ended the Summer Split on two false notes… Fortunately, the season is not over yet and there is still one final step for tune the violins and set the clocks back on time: the Worlds! Qualified for the Play-In, Nisqy has already made an appointment with the community in New York, NA, for the Main Event.

A Summer Split that remains very positive

Finishing on two defeats is necessarily a little frustrating. But Nisqy don’t forget where it comes from. At the start of the year, he was without a starting place and he spent the first half of the season on the bench, away from the field. Saved from contract jail by MAD Lions, he had established a reasonable goal before the summer began. First, he wanted the team to return to the playoffs. Although the Worlds were present in his thoughts, it was only a secondary objective to be unlocked along the way. At the time of the balance sheet, the results are therefore positive and the contract has been more than fulfilled. MAD Lions have recovered by performing very well on Bo1. Nisqy was even voted MVP by the expert panel. The secondary objective has also been fulfilled, as the Lions will be at Worlds for the 3rd year in a row! What was not won after a moribund Spring Split (7th), passed without playoffs.

Some will see the half empty glass of water : MAD Lions did not win a single Bo5 this year and will end up quite far from the title. But the detractors will not have enough force to taint the positivity of Nisqy. He is enjoying life to the fullest and remains proud of what he has accomplished with his teammates. He’s had a hard time and what he’s going through right now may not be perfect, but a lot of other European teams would love to be in his place.

Mexico City, a simple stopover before returning to NA?

MAD Lions will therefore be at Worlds again this year. But beware, the team is currently only qualified for the Play-Inwhich will take place at Mexico City. In the past, it has not always negotiated this preliminary phase well, where you have to be wary of teams from minor regions. This year, the difficulty will be all the more difficult as there will only be 4 tickets to be won… Whereas we will find 2 teams from the LEC, 1 team from the LPL, 1 team from the LCK and 1 team of the LCS, not counting the Vietnamese and the PCS region. It will therefore be necessary to whip to obtain its place in the main draw.

Nisqy, however, intends to take advantage of this warm-up to raise his level of play even more. MAD Lions is looking for a Bo5 reference this year and the Play-In could perfectly launch the collective. On a personal level, he also hopes to join the Main Event to make his return to N / A. The group stage takes place at New York. He knows North American audiences well, having performed several segments at LCS (Team Envyus, Cloud9). It would therefore be a good opportunity to set the table again with a region he has conquered in the past.

esport-lol

League of Legends Worlds will begin at the end of the month. If we are impatiently waiting for this great celebration to begin, there is still a small problem… Barring a last minute upheaval, there will be no French player present in the competition… The last one was released in the night.
