LoL: BDS Academy presents its new midlaner, from LEC!

The misfortune of some is the happiness of others. xico is about to leave BDS Academy and he should return to the Spanish league. Popular within the French community, the Portuguese will leave a void. While he had shown solid performances during the LFL playoffs and embodied the team better than anyone in the French league, his departure is a little surprise…

But as BDS Academy presented its new mid laner, we understand the process a little better. Xico’s replacement is a big player who played in LEC in Spring 2022. Talented and very promising, he could allow the team to take a step forward. This summer, the team will have to be taken very seriously and they will be aiming for the title more than ever in the LFL.

Reeker, a choice addition to the squad

Individually, Reeker is a player with a very interesting profile. In addition to having tasted the LEC during the spring, where he was not ridiculous for his rookie segment, he has also shown a promising level of play in the ERL in the past. German champion twice with BIG, he also caused problems for Karmine Corp during the EUM Summer 2021 (2-3 defeat). At 20, he still has plenty of room for improvement. Even if Xico is not bad, the German midlaner has a pedigree that necessarily makes you think. More desired at MAD Lions, we understand why BDS Academy jumped on this market opportunity.

More generally, Reeker seems on paper to fit perfectly into the collective of the team. The mid laner has a very utilitarian profile and we felt comfortable with champions like Galio and Twisted Fate. He’s not a primary carry, but a game enabler. While BDS Academy has two huge threats on the map with Agresivoo (top) and Crownshot (ADC), Reeker should find his footing without making waves. Its ability to roam will be appreciated and will allow snowballing on other lanes. Who said we had to play around mid on League of Legends?

Reeker announced in LFL… For now?

Team BDS has two teams in League of Legends: one in LEC (team one) and one in LFL (academic team). Both belong to the same structure and pool certain means. It’s a totally classic pattern and the other teams follow the same logic: Team Vitality/Vitality.Bee, Misfits Gaming/Misfits Premier… Traditionally, it’s not uncommon to see players do the lift in based on individual performance. Internal competition can be healthy to pull everyone up.

And if Reeker has been officially announced for the academy team, he could also claim a place on the main roster. Team BDS left with its two rosters in Korea for bootcamp. We imagine that the 10 players will be scrutinized and that changes could take place. In LEC, BDS finished in 9th place while in LFL, the structure was vice-champion of France. The two dynamics are very different and NUCLEARINT would do well to be more convincing in training than Reeker. The French however has a definite advantage. He already has his marks in the team and his profile, more carry, has little to do with that of the German!

lfl-lol

On League of Legends, the success of the Karmine Corp has inspired many people. But for the moment, no one can imitate the extraordinary growth of the French team. KOI skates and to finally win Ibai would have decided to draw again in LFL.
