LoL: How many people are in charge of the patches? Work that goes beyond balancing

League of Legends is one of those games for which, no matter how many years pass, the number of players remains gigantic and the support for the game is one of the most active in the sector. Every two weeks, Riot Games changes all of its big titles with patches and updates that balance the game as much as possible so that no champion, strategy or synergy is too broken or more decisive than the others. But how many people are actually in charge of this whole process?

During an interview, Phroxzon, one of the main people responsible for the balance of champions and systems in League of Legends, as part of the show “Broken by Concept“, revealed several secrets about champion balancing and the team behind it.

Additionally, the developer has indicated that it analyzes all users and champions, even if they are not popular or have a low pick rate. He also pointed out that in different regions, champions are viewed differently. ; for example, Yasuo in China or Yuumi in Korea are not hated as much as in Europe or America. However, there is one condition to be able to participate in this discussion around champions: you must be a regular player and have a rank of, at least, Diamond and be an expert in a good number of champions to be able to understand what each of them does. them and the effect of the patches on them.
