LoL: Karmine Corp and LFL, crazy stats at EUM

We had a great time last weekend watching the European Masters. The French teams shone and the table looks more and more like the LFL playoffs! With 3 teams in the semi-finals, France is marching on the competition and no one can dispute the French domination within the ERL. Our friends spanish, who bulged their chests before the competition all took the door… FB Barcelona did not pass the Play-In. The Bisons were eliminated in the group stage and Fnatic TQ took the thunder against Vitality.Bee on Sunday. But beyond the France/Spain rivalry, the performance of our tricolors is above all historic! We had fun listing a few statisticseach crazier than the other!

3 French teams out of 4 in the semi-finals: a hegemony never seen before!

LDLC OL beat X7. The Karmine Corp. beat Unicorns of Love Sexy Edition. Vitality.Bee defeated Fnatic TQ. So we end up with 3 French teams in the last four and it’s really exceptional. Obviously, we would have liked to see BDS Academy join the rest of the gang, but the team suffered from indigestion of cheese during the group stage. However, we are not going to hide our pleasure since seeing 3 teams from the same league in the semis has never happened before! At best, we had the right to two out of four representatives of the same origin. This was particularly the case during the EUM Summer 2021 last year, where we already found the Karmine Corp accompanied by the Misfits Premier. 2/4 was already a lot but the ratio has increased even more… We can only salute this combined performance and we could perhaps attend the first final between two teams from the same league, if LDLC OL defeat of AGO Rogue.

A 100% French semi-final: a great first!

The Karmine Corp continues its journey and it is without question, the most supported French team. Everyone is aware of it and everyone tries to position themselves in relation to it, to reap their share of hype. Solary and BDS regularly try to position themselves as rivals. But at this little game, it’s surely vitality which is more convincing. The match between Vitality.Bee and KC therefore promises to be particularly crisp and we will have the opportunity to witness a new episode in the rivalry between the two structures. Generally, the bees have often lowered their heads, but now may be the perfect time to reverse the trend!

In any case, this is the first time that we will attend a semi-final 100% French, which makes mathematical sense with 3 reps in the last square. On the other hand, this is not the first time that two teams from the same league have crossed paths:

  • at Summer 2019 we had the right to a BIG vs. Mousesporttwo German teams.
  • in Spring 2018 we had the right to a MAD Lions vs Origentwo “Spanish” teams.

LDLC OL, the team with 100% victory

If the fans talk a lot about the Karmine Corp. and of Vitality.Bee, we must render to Caesar what belongs to Caesar. The most impressive team since the start of the competition is LDLC OL. Even though the foxes have been crowned champions of France, the community still has a little trouble giving the structure the respect it deserves. On paper, his roster does not necessarily make you dream and at the start of the year, few people had bet on the team, made up of “aging” veterans and young hopefuls who had everything to prove. But it is clear that LDLC OL is very heavy. We hope that the critics have swallowed their venom and that they will be able to make amends.

Since the start of the competition, LDLC OL has displayed 100% win rate. Whether in the group stage or during the playoffs, the team is unsinkable. For comparison: KC lost 2 games just like Vitality.Bee and AGO Rogue. Attention however, arrived launched does not necessarily guarantee the final victory. At Spring 2021 UCAM Esports had won everything before starting their semi-final, only to sink right after.

6 French players in the last four!

Beyond the structures, French players are also present in number in the last four. With 6 tricolorsour country had never placed so many nationals in the semi-finals of the EUM. It is therefore really worth making a big croaking to applaud our Blues. Whether they are young or less young, they represent us all brilliantly!

  • LDLC OL: Exakick and Eika
  • Vitality.Bee: Skeanz
  • Karmine Corp.: Cabochard, saken and will haunt

In the past we had never managed to exceed the bar of 3 French in half. The indicator is worth what it is, but one cannot help but think that the French league continues to grow. This year, the other most represented nationalities are: Poles (3 players) and Danes (3 players).

esport-lol

We no longer present Marcin “Jankos” Jankowski, the best jungler in history in Europe. The Pole is renowned for being talkative and on stream, he regales the community with his declarations. But this time, he didn’t really make us happy… He wasn’t kind to the top EUM teams.
