The competitive environment of League of Legends is a small world where everyone knows each other. The production teams push to create narrative arcs and characters and the networks also contribute their grain of salt to label the players in a more or less volatile way. Some players are adored, others are more controversial. But at the LEC, if there is a player who is unanimous, it is Nisqy. The Belgian midlaner is appreciated by all and many are those who salute his always irreproachable state of mind. It’s not his style to make waves and in interviews, his honesty and simplicity touch the heart of the public.
For this reason, even if Nisqy was absent during the first part of the season, no one has forgotten him, especially not in France: far from sight but precisely close to the heart. But the hour of the meeting has finally come! After 6 months on the bench, the Belgian is back on the front of the stage. Recruited by MAD Lions, he intends to make up for lost time and do what he does best: play. Like a symbol, his return is concomitant with the return of the public at the LEC studio in Berlin. The party promises to be crazy and Nisqy arrives motivated like never before. We had the chance to interview him to find out more about his transfer window, his state of mind and his ambitions. Obviously, we couldn’t help talking to him about the K Corp and some LFL.
Nisqy, expected as the Messiah?
Nisqy is highly anticipated for the LEC Summer Split, but not just for his smile and good humor. The Belgian is a really good player who has played the Worlds several times and who has a good track record. He is currently in “the top 3/4 LEC” among midlaners and even if he concedes that it will take him a little time to regain all his feelings, he remains very ambitious. With him, MAD Lions will try to regain the top. Double European champion in 2021, the structure experienced a very complicated spring 2022. Ejected you top 6, she was not even at the playoffs. A rebound is expected and Nisqy will be at the heart of the project. He wants his title European champion and he has revenge to take global.
MAD Lions weren’t lacking in experience as players like Armut, Elyoya and Kaiser are still in the roster. But MAD Lions may have lacked a bit of personality. The departure of Humanoid hurt the team and the young Reeker did not give complete satisfaction and he was sent to BDS Academy. Nisqy will perhaps bring the extra soul that the team lacked so much and on paper, the lions can reasonably ogle the coveted throne.
