“As a special thank you to all ARAM players, we will be hosting our last Clash of the year in the Howling Abyss! Participation in this Clash will be free and will feature an 8-team bracket where each team can play 3 games. Each player will receive 2 re-rolls per game, so use them!”

It is with joy that the fans ofARAM (All Random All Mid) have discovered that they will have the opportunity to have a real tournament in this fun mode. While some have been asking for a ranked queue on the Howling Abyss for years, this is an opportunity to strike a blow by showing the popularity of this alternative mode. The dates are already known: December 10 and 11. All you have to do is form your team. For once, it’s not necessarily worth going to find your friends who have the best elo… The ARAMs obey their own logic, which is sometimes completely crazy. But beware, for the occasion, small rules have been changed.

Turret Changes

According spideraxe, game designer, two changes should be noted on the PBE concerning the ARAM mode turrets. They were designed for the famous Clash which arrives in December.

  • Turrets will lose resistance per minute 35 (vs. 55 minutes on Summoner’s Rift)
  • Turrets will start losing health per minute 40 (vs. 60 minutes on Summoner’s Rift)

The goal is quite clear: to prevent the games from dragging on too long. Generally, a classic game in ARAM lasts between 15 and 20 minutes. The goal is to have fun without taking the lead and without reserving an hour of play, as may be the case in a normal game including the draft. But as there is a stake for the special ARAM Clash, we could see strategies out of the ordinary. To avoid endless games, these changes are therefore rather welcome.

Remember to check for patch 12.2 and 12.3 updates

Beyond this small tweak, Riot Games has plans to make major adjustments to the ARAM mode during preseason. Patches 12.2 (already released) and 12.3 (to be released) will indeed bring a lot of small changes. We therefore advise you to read the patch notes to be up to date and maximize your chances of victory. Among the champions who have been buffed, we find Akali, Elise or Ekko. On the other hand, it’s grimace soup for Ashe.

There are also many other changes to the program. In bulk and without being exhaustive: reduction of omnivampirism on minions, formation of a new terrain with turret debris, addition of Hextech portals… It’s been a long time since Riot Games had spoiled players so much. ‘ARAM!

Riot Games has a little surprise in store for all League of Legends Clash fans. Exceptionally, the last tournament of the year will be played on the ARAM card and will be accessible to everyone, without a ticket!
