LoL: the French in LEC, the good operation of Vetheo!

The two French teams still on their way to a qualifying spot started their week very well, with a victory each. If that of SK was expected, as the team faced Astralisthem Misfits had a big adversary: the Rogue, another in-form team. Their second game of the week was bound to be a disappointment, given that SK and Misfits had to split in Summoner’s Rift. Finally these are the rabbits who managed to take the best, recovering valuable points against a direct competitor. The task becomes more complicated for SKwhich are always at 2 victories of the first qualifying placeswith just 5 games left against the current top teams in the LEC. Misfits has a simpler schedule, but it is still too early to claim victory. Back on the performance of the tricolors.

* We have not forgotten NUCLEARINT, but given BDS’ situation, we have chosen not to analyze its individual performances. BDS is in deep trouble in this Summer Split, and the team’s issues seem deeper than just the general level of the players. Since the purpose of this article is neither to break open doors nor to shoot the ambulance, we have chosen to abstain for the moment. If the BDS game improves in the next few weeks, then we’ll talk about it with great pleasure. We don’t say goodbye to them, but see you soon!

Scoring scale out of 10:

  • 0: played Yuumi jungle (but why??)
  • 1: Human Ward
  • 2: Poor performance, unworthy of an LEC player
  • 3-4: Below expected level / made big mistakes
  • 5: Average / alternated between excellent and mediocre
  • 6-7: Solid on his support, the player was one of the driving forces of the collective
  • 8-9: Not content with outclassing his direct opponent(s), the player has had the luxury of making crazy moves
  • 9.5: 1v9 god, with moves at 200 IQ
  • 10: If perfection had a name, it would have its own
  • 11: 1v9 god, moves at 200 IQ while playing Yuumi jungle

Week ok tier for Jezu

In the first game against Astralis, Jezu and his Aphelios had some difficulties during the lane phase. Things didn’t really improve after that, with a composition that was not specially designed to protect it. He still managed to barely die, while still managing to place enough damage in teamfights for his team to win. Given the team’s strategy, he played rather well, but did not particularly shine.

Paradoxically, his performance against Misfits was a little betterbut the Zeri pick is more favorable to solitary actions. SK was again slightly dominated on the botlanebut Jezu has always been able to position himself well for avoid death. Once again, nothing fantastic on his side, but no errors either. The defeat is due more to general misapplication of strategy than to any particular player.

Crackito Vetheo

Against Rogue, the Frenchman knew play smart and take advantage of Zoe’s strengths to prevent their opponents from too snow ball. His poke and its ability to clean minion waves enabled the team to hold on during the highlight of the Snapesbefore finally comeback. Vetheo ends first in damage in his team, which makes sense with Zoe, but her damage was mostly well-timed. Her lane phase could have been better, but its overall performance is still excellent.

The tricolor was as impressive as usual on Akali. He managed to find the good lags in early to help his team on the botside, and took advantage of the Sertuss’ only early game death to take three plates. He was a real poison for his adversaries throughout the game, ending first tie with some of his teammates in participation in killswhich is rare enough with a melee assassin champion to be underlined.

This week, Riot Games showed off the new Monster Trainer skins coming with Patch 12.15. Yes but here it is, a large part of the community has not been seduced and criticizes the studio for having simply made vulgar copy-paste of old appearances.
