You must begin to have the habit and each week of LEC we try to find you interviews to find out a little more behind the scenes of the league while living with more intensity the competitive season. And this time, we had the opportunity to talk to a rather special actor… If generally, we exchange with players and coaches, to talk about results, metagame or matchup, this week we were able to chat with Romain Bigardthe French General Manager of G2 Esports. Very friendly and always smiling, he allowed us to better understand his role and importance within a League of Legends team.

Not at all jargon, he also returned to the team’s complicated start to the season where he lived through hell as General Manager… As a reminder, all of the Samurai caught the coronavirus and Romain had to do his best to keep the situation under control.

The video interview

For Romain Bigeard, the role of manager remains that of a shadow worker who works behind the scenes to support the team and offer it an optimal framework for progress. But his name should sound familiar to older fans who have been following the European league for a while. We discovered Romain when he was the manager ofUnicorns of Love in EU LCS. If some people lost sight of him after his departure for North America (Optic Gaming) then his time at Riot Games in a business department, he missed the competition and he is back for our greatest pleasure!
