Although the interest in Wild Rift has declined a bit in the West, Riot Games continues to fill the mobile version of League of Legends with new features. There are still dozens of champions to bring to iOS and Android that players have been using for years on PC. One of the next additions will be Karma, which will arrive on the mobile version in the next patch. However, the developers have prepared something very special by creating an interesting redesign that has generated a lot of interest in the community.
The Karma overhaul we’d want in League of Legends
Wild Rift makers took liberties several times when adapting League of Legends champions. Mobile gameplay is much more active, and the idea of having keys that don’t have flashy effects doesn’t appeal to developers. That’s why Rammus got a new ultimate or why Vi and Vayne’s passives got transformed. However, they took it a step further with the introduction of Karma and all of its abilities, almost creating an alternate version of the League of Legends champion.
Although the developers haven’t made a detailed presentation of the changes yet, the main adjustments seem obvious. Riot Games has totally changed his R – Mantra to a whole new ability. This spell works in a similar way to Orianna’s ultimate. In this case, Karma summons a magic area on the ground which, after a short channel, draws opponents to the center of the spell’s area. But that’s not all, W – Concentrated Will, can now bond with multiple enemies, maximizing stuns during teamfights. Moreover, the E – Exalted base now gives several shields, which is certainly also possible on the PC version, but only when the spell benefits from the Mantra – Challenge bonus.
While Riot Games has yet to bring up the subject — deploying these changes to the PC version — League of Legends has in the past adapted some of Wild Rift’s innovations. The developer pointed out that the mobile game helps them come up with new ideas. This was the case, for example, of Rammus who received an update to his ultimate at the start of last season thanks to the rework he received when he arrived on iOS and Android. In this sense, it seems likely that if the champion receives good reviews from the community, this change can reach the original version.
