The Worlds of League of Legends are absolutely everyone’s dream. The fans in the first place, who want to see a beautiful game, but it is also the case of the players who want to rub shoulders with the crème de la crème. But places for the party are limited and to receive his invitation, you must earn it by dominating his competitive region. This weekend, many regions have advanced to complete their Summer Split playoffs. Consequently, a new batch of qualified has arrived. The community will have the opportunity to find several well-known faces.

The list of teams that qualified this weekend

  • JD Gaming (LPL): August 28
  • Cloud9 (LCS): August 28
  • MAD Lions (LEC): August 27
  • 100 Thieves (LCS): August 27
  • isurus (LAT): August 27
  • Snape (LEC): August 26

T1, Gen.G, G2 and Top Esports had already qualified for several days. Casually the noose is tightening and there are only 14 slots left to fill. In Europe, the situation is even more tense with only one remaining ticket… which will be played between Fnatic and Misfits Gaming (Vetheo).

No rookie among the qualifiers for the moment

For now, 10 teams are guaranteed to be at the Worlds. And among them, there is no rookie but only competitors more or less accustomed to playing big international tournaments. Some may frown upon isurus… But this Latin American team played the worlds in 2019 (eliminated in Play-In) and also tasted several times at MSI.

On the other hand, the balance of power has changed significantly compared to last year. Isurus, G2, JD Gaming and Top Esports were therefore not at the rendezvous of Worlds 2021. But this time, these structures took a good lead!

Misfits Gaming will soon bow out of the European League of Legends scene. The Rabbits sold their slot to Team Herectics. They should, however, manage to be remembered. But beware, before, other structures fell into oblivion.
