(Boursier.com) — Lombard Odier Investment Managers has been mandated by Nest to manage a portfolio of global thematic equities, aligned with the transition to a net zero economy. This mandate aims to achieve sustainable results and strong investment returns for Nest.
Nest is the UK’s largest pension fund, currently representing a third of UK workers with £36 billion in assets under management. The mandate was awarded to LOIM following a rigorous selection process, in line with Nest’s focus on leveraging best-in-class partners in the asset management industry to support its evolving portfolio listed equity funds.
The active management strategy will focus on three key themes: the fight against climate change and its adaptation, the enhancement of natural capital and social trends favoring a more virtuous society. It will draw on the expertise developed by holistiQ2, a LOIM unit specializing in sustainability research, and that of the equity investment teams. It will identify opportunities in developed and emerging markets aligned with these three themes, while contributing to the transition to a net zero economy with attractive performance for investors.
