Like the airport on its website communicated, flight operations will remain temporarily suspended until Wednesday at 12:00 p.m. local time, 1:00 p.m. Swiss time. A major fire broke out in Terminal Parking Lot 2 on Tuesday evening and flight operations were suspended while emergency services fought the fire.

People are asked not to travel. The fire also produced a large amount of smoke. If the airport remains closed until midday, flights from Switzerland will also be affected. On Wednesday morning, a flight from Zurich and one from Geneva would take off for this London airport.
