The finance portal Brokervergleich.de is currently carrying out its well-known broker choice for the eighth time. With more than 71,000 participants in the previous year, it is the largest online broker choice in Germany. In 2021, customers are allowed to rate over 90 providers in various categories. The voting phase will run until September 15, 2021. In addition to the “Online Broker of the Year” and the “Robo Advisor of the Year”, the financial experts from Brokervergleich.de also award the “Crypto Exchange of the Year” for the first time.
A total of twelve crypto exchanges are available this year. These include conventional trading venues such as Binance, Coinbase or Kraken, but also neo brokers such as Trade Republic or eToro can be found in the ranking. With Nuri, the Stuttgart Stock Exchange and Bitpanda, three crypto financial service providers from Germany and Austria also make it into the vote. We see that crypto exchanges are now more than a short-term trend and interest in Bitcoin and Co. is growing steadily – whether as an object of speculation or a means of payment.

Accordingly, the inclusion of the “crypto exchange of the year” as an independent category in the context of the broker selection in 2021 is only logical, says the project manager. Participants evaluate various criteria, such as transaction fees or the service quality and security of the platforms. The variety of offers on the stock exchange is also included in the assessment.

As usual, the result of the broker choice consists of 50 percent of the customer survey and 50 percent of an editorial test with more than 250 criteria. André Salzwedel is still convinced of the electoral system:
Only those who pass both juries, ie their own customers and our experts, deserve the title in the end. This system has proven itself since the first broker choice.
