Indeed, the excerpts linger in particular on a character who seems very preoccupied, a blond man with hidden ears and dark eyes, who appears on Galadriel’s words: “Evil does not sleep, it waits”.

The series takes place chronologically during the Second Age, when, in the work of author JRR Tolkien, Sauron is already settled in Mordor, and assumes a seductive appearance in order to appease the elves of Eregion, the region ruled by Galadriel. Under the name of Annatar, he convinces them to forge the Rings of Power, while on his side he prepares the One Ring, made famous by the plot of The Lord of the Rings.
The actor suspected of playing Sauron is Anson Boon, who appeared in small roles in Sam Mendes’ 1917, Roger Mitchell’s Blackbird, and had a starring role in the thriller The Winter Lake.
