Nicolas Cage reunites with writer-director Andrew Niccols for a sequel to their 2005 crime drama Lord of War. In “Lords of War” Cage slips back into the role of arms dealer Yuri Orlov. He has to find out that he has a grown-up son – played by “Pennywise” actor Bill Skarsgård.

But Anton, the name of Yuri’s son, does not want to make amends for his father’s evil machinations, but to surpass them (via US magazine Deadline). So Anton not only sells the guns, but also those who are supposed to pull the trigger. With a mercenary army he wants to fight the conflicts of the USA in the Middle East. A bitter rivalry begins between Yuri and Anton, during which they even fight over the same woman. Who wins the war between father and son?

Philippe Rousselet and Fabrice Gianfermi are returning as producers on the sequel, producing for Vendôme Pictures, while Cage is co-producing for Saturn Films. Skarsgård is one of the executive producers.
