Lost control – e-quad crashed onto train tracks in Bad Ischl

A 20-year-old lost control of his e-quad in a bend in his home town of Bad Ischl. He was barely able to save himself, but his vehicle crashed onto the railroad tracks. Nobody hurts.

A 20-year-old from the Gmunden district steered an e-quad on the Brandenbergweg in Bad Ischl at around 20 to 25 km / h in a slight right-hand bend shortly before 10 a.m. In doing so, for unknown reasons, he turned left, steered the quad bike with undiminished speed over the adjacent meadow and threatened to fall over a ten-meter straight slope onto the railroad tracks. He was just able to detach himself from the vehicle and was slowed down by two bushes where he could hold on.

The quad crashed onto the railroad tracks, which meant that the railway line between Bad Ischl and Ebensee had to be closed for salvage work. The driver survived the accident unharmed.
