On Friday evening, a truck skidded on the Tauernautobahn (A10) in the municipality of St. Michael im Lungau (Salzburg) shortly after the Katschberg tunnel.
A 24-year-old Serbian driver lost control of his truck shortly after 10 p.m. The tractor-trailer veered off the right of the A10 roadway after exiting the Katschberg tunnel, damaged a guardrail and spun on its own axis. The truck and trailer blocked the entire lane in the direction of Salzburg. Diesel tanks damaged Both of the truck’s diesel tanks were damaged in the accident. The St. Michael/Lungau fire department had to bind 400 liters of diesel and use a towing company to park the truck safely. The A10 was closed to traffic until shortly after midnight.
