Love, fame and beauty: “Steffy is one of Sheila’s worst nightmares”, the revelations of Kimberlin Brown

In “Love, Glory and Beauty”, Sheila mistakenly shot Finn and doesn’t intend to stop there with Steffy! Kimberlin Brown, the interpreter of the iconic character, returns to AlloCiné on this plot and comments on the course of the psychopath…

In Love, Glory and Beauty, Sheila Carter has made living hell for the Forresters, Brooke (Katherine Kelly Lang, who confided in her 35 years in the series) and the others since 1992. Iconic, the character of the great villain has first cut his teeth in The Young and the Restless two years earlier, before landing in Los Angeles to stir up trouble.

Currently in the intrigues on TF1, the psychopath has just committed the unthinkable: she fired by mistake with a firearm on Finn (Tanner Novlan), her son in a relationship with Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood)!

Thus, at the end of the episode broadcast on the front page this Tuesday, March 14, 2023, the young man collapses on the ground, injured by his dangerous and somewhat disturbed darling mother…

For AlloCiné, Kimberlin Brown, the interpreter of Sheila, comments on the actions of her fictional alter ego and confides in her career in the cult soap opera…

AlloCiné: Sheila tried to forge a relationship with Finn but Steffy and the Forresters did everything to prevent that in “Love, Glory and Beauty”…

Kimberlin Brown: I’ll tell you one thing: Sheila never gives up. She always fights for those she loves and it sometimes comes back to haunt her. Steffy has a short memory, like all the Forresters. My character is still the bad guy…but everyone forgets the horrible things this family did against her!

Steffy shot Sheila years ago, remember… As luck would have it, no one remembers and judges her! Steffy is one of her worst nightmares, like her grandmother Stephanie [Susan Flannery, ndlr]. It’s no wonder they share the same name because they look a lot alike! (laughs)

How does Sheila feel after shooting Finn?

It’s the worst thing a parent can feel… Great things are coming to the show. Twists and turns will shock fans! (laughs) Anything is possible with her and it’s impossible to put her down.

Why has Sheila always wanted revenge on Brooke and the Forresters?

When Sheila has a real opportunity to be fulfilled, these people make sure that doesn’t happen. Sheila always wanted to be loved and accepted, like today with Finn and Hayes, her grandson. But Steffy and the Forresters don’t want to see her happy!

His natural instinct is therefore to want them to pay. She wants them out of her life and for them to see her as a normal person. Even when Sheila was at her best, they were never able to.

Would you say that Sheila is ultimately misunderstood?

Absolutely ! The Forresters want to see everyone happy but especially not Sheila… Even when she hasn’t done anything! When she arrived in Los Angeles and was married to Eric [John McCook, qui a fait ses débuts dans Les Feux de l’amour, ndlr]no one knew what she had done in the past in Genoa City…

Sheila wanted to make a fresh start and she was doing well. But Stephanie, may she rest in peace, didn’t accept the situation… And that’s what happened again and again.

How would you define Sheila and Deacon’s relationship (Sean Kanan, who made revelations to AlloCiné)?

He’s the only one who became his friend. He’s someone who doesn’t put her down and she needs someone like that in her life. We’ll see where they’re headed with this relationship… But incredible twists are on the horizon! You will not believe your eyes.

Who is Sheila’s best enemy: Brooke (who could soon be in a relationship with Taylor!), Steffy, Lauren or herself?

Surely herself. She doesn’t know how to handle what ordinary people know how to handle. But she wants to improve and be a better person. If Brooke and the others had given her the chance, I’m sure Finn would have wanted to get to know her.

What do you think is Sheila’s worst action?

Removing identification from a baby that wasn’t his so that no one can recognize him is truly his worst scheme! It happened in The Young and the Restless with Lauren [Tracey Bregman, qui vient de célébrer un incroyable anniversaire, ndlr]. Yet you know what they say: babies or puppies should never be touched in fiction! (laughs)

What plot would you like to see developed around your character in “Love, Glory and Beauty”?

I think it would be interesting to find out why Sheila is like that. I would like to know more about his relationship with his father and mother. It could be a strong plot because many people around the world have suffered abuse in their youth. Everyone goes through these tragedies in their own way and that might explain why Sheila solves her worries in this way.

Would you like to return to “The Young and the Restless”?

It does not depend on me but on the series and the producers. Unfortunately they left my story in The Young and the Restless with another person who played Sheila [Michelle Stafford, ndlr]because she had plastic surgery…

So we would have to find a way to get me back if they wanted to. But I’m very happy where I am today to be honest. Love, glory and beauty is like home.
