Love, glory and beauty: “Temptation is not far between Hope and Thomas…”, warns Annika Noelle

In “Love, Glory and Beauty” on TF1, Hope will have to resolve to work with Thomas again… However, this collaboration is likely to put her relationship with Liam in danger in the months to come! Annika Noelle confides in AlloCiné…

Nothing is going well with Forrester Creations in Love, Glory and Beauty on TF1! Indeed, in the soap opera broadcast from Monday to Friday from 10:30 a.m., Hope must consider the possibility of working again with Thomas while the latter are at odds after the young man’s recent actions.

Annika Noelle, who plays Brooke’s daughter, answered questions from AlloCiné about the future of her character. On our microphone, the actress also reveals that Hope could put her marriage in danger by working closely with the stylist who has never really forgotten her… Finally, the young woman also looks back on her journey in the soap cult American opera.

AlloCiné: In “Love, Glory and Beauty”, how does Hope experience the fact that Douglas has gone to live with Steffy (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood, who also spoke to us) ?

Annika Noelle: A beautiful scene between Jacqueline and myself came from this event: when Hope drops Douglas off at Steffy’s and she has to say goodbye to him. It was an important and decisive moment between them. It kind of came full circle, especially after what they went through with Beth. It was very moving.

Unfortunately, grief is no stranger to Hope, especially after believing for almost a year that she had lost her daughter… But she nevertheless knows today that she survived this ordeal and that she can overcome this. You will see her evolve to find more strength and assert her character in the year to come. It becomes stronger after these difficulties.

Hope will finally agree to work with Thomas again (Matthew Atkinson, who revealed whether or not he believes his character has a future with Hope). How will she cope with this situation?

(laughs) She doesn’t want that to happen! It’s not the best solution according to her, it’s being imposed on her. But she also knows that her project will be taken away from her if she doesn’t follow through… Moreover, she doesn’t want to compromise her career because of the insecurities of her husband, Liam. [Scott Clifton, ndlr].

She therefore chooses herself and her passion. Hope will nevertheless be closed off and offer resistance at first but this will change little by little… Then everything will intensify! Temptation is not far away…

So how will Liam react?

He’s going to do what he always does: Liam is going to speak up and communicate his concerns! He will speak directly to Thomas because he suspects that he always has something on his mind. Liam knows how this can end because he himself has played on several tables with Hope and Steffy in the past.

Faced with Thomas, Hope will in any case be in denial because for her it is impossible that anything could happen. She will thus be the last to understand what everyone will have already understood…

Who do you think is the best partner for Hope in The Bold and the Beautiful: Liam or Thomas?

Frankly, neither is the healthiest choice. Her best relationship is with herself and when she puts her needs first, without letting the judgment of others influence who she is. This is where she thrives and is strongest. As soon as she doubts herself because of the opinions of others or is directed towards people who don’t really have her best interests at heart, that’s when she weakens.

All the men on The Bold and the Beautiful all have a busy past at this point so, really, I don’t see who would be the best option for her (laughs) But it’s true that Thomas and Liam are great TV characters interesting. They each reveal different aspects of Hope.

You joined the cast of “The Bold and the Beautiful” in 2018. Did you feel any pressure reprising the role of Hope, previously played by Kim Matula ?

Absolutely, I didn’t want to disappoint the fans. I knew Hope was a beloved character and I wanted to do her justice while making the role my own. I did a lot of research, reviewed his past, and then followed suit! I think I succeeded thanks to the love and support of my partners and the teams of the series.

Tell us about your first day on set…

My first scene took place in Brooke’s living room. Thorsten Kaye [Ridge, ndlr] surprised Katherine Kelly Lang’s character by arriving with their daughter, back from Italy. Also on set was Jacob Young who played Rick at the time. The latter then acted as a voice-over to announce: “The role of Hope Logan is now played by Annika Noelle!“, as is often done in soap operas during a recast.

It was very theatrical! I remember that moment very clearly and that’s when it all became real for me. I said to myself : “Oh my god, I really got this job! I’m here, surrounded by these awesome people“. I will always remember it.

Do you realize that your character represents the biggest scandal of “The Bold and the Beautiful”, that is to say that Hope is the result of the affair between Brooke and Deacon (Sean Kanan) ?

(laughs) Hope came into this world already causing problems! And today, she’s causing some waves herself… A friend of mine is watching the storylines in the United States at the moment [environ un an d’écart existe entre les diffusions américaine et française, ndlr] and he can’t believe what’s happening! He asks me : “But what is wrong with Hope?!“. I guess what they say is true: like mother, like daughter…
