New staff on “Love Island”: In the coming season, Oli P. (45) will be Sylvie Meis’ (45) co-moderator. This was announced by RTLzwei in a press release. The broadcaster had previously indicated that Meis would receive prominent support in the future, but had not yet revealed the name. For Oliver Petszokat, the real name of the entertainer, the job on “Love Island” is a homecoming, according to the announcement. He finally had his first engagement as an actor in the RTLzwei series “All together – everyone for themselves”. The singer later moderated “Big Brother” and “The Dome” on the station.

Oli P. serves as the contact for the audience, commenting on viewer opinions and answering questions. Otherwise, the format runs daily at 10:15 p.m.
The singer and actor is not the first co-host in the history of “Love Island”. In the first season of 2017, Giovanni Zarrella (45) supported his wife Jana Ina (46). The Brazilian moderated alone until season five, and Sylvie Meis took over in round six.
