Lucie Lucas in tears: her unexpected reunion with Victoria Abril

“It moved me a lot. My eyes were very moist when reading the script and when I projected myself into this real reunion because, unfortunately, we haven’t had the opportunity to see each other since he left the series. I was really looking forward to it… And when we met again, the affection between us was still intact. It was very touching and very joyful.” she explained. The actress then reveals that they cried a lot during filming.

“After the first scene where Clem has to cry in front of her mother, I couldn’t stop crying. Everything was mixed up in my head: I saw images of the accident, I thought about her departure , about the fact that she wasn’t there for years. I was really upset. It was very emotional.”.

As a reminder, Victoria Abril decided to leave the series five years ago, something that Lucie Lucas had difficulty accepting. “There were differences between the production and her. The fact that she left still had a positive effect for my character in the sense that from the moment Clem no longer had her mother, she really had to to fend for herself and get out of situations on her own. Before this departure, Clem was a bit in the position of a victim who had to be saved all the time and there, she became an adult who had to face problems more or less serious. For my character, it was more interesting”.
