Lugano is the birthplace of the Eurovision Song Contest. It is not, however Chorus, the song that won that year, in 1956, which immediately comes to mind when you arrive here, but rather from Nino Ferrer: “It looks like the South. Time lasts a long time… ” Of course, we would like to stay there “Over a million years” in this Swiss town in the canton of Ticino, nestled at the foot of the Alps, nestled on the edge of a lake with dazzling waters, which offers thousands of possibilities to drown in the horizon. Considered the top “The sunniest in all of Switzerland”, the latter rises to 928 meters above sea level, which can be reached by taking two funiculars. The first, boarding via Pico, opened in 1908, is automatic. Seen from the quay, the slope is steep, very steep.
