“Based on the current reporting,” Luke Mockridge announced on Instagram that he would extend his time off indefinitely.

Entertainer Luke Mockridge (32) has in an Instagram post announced that he would extend his time off indefinitely “based on the current reporting” on himself. “I need time, rest and distance to understand, learn and heal,” he wrote in the post.

Mockridge has been grappling with rape allegations for several weeks. On August 21st he had in an Instagram video publicly commented on the accusation of “attempted rape” of his ex-girlfriend, which, according to him, has now been legally refuted. He also announced that he would take a break from work until the end of the year.

Luke Mockridge: “I’ll see you again”

From 2022 Mockridge should actually return to television for the private broadcaster Sat.1 with a new music show, as the broadcaster announced in a press release at the beginning of September. In addition, other hatch formats were apparently planned. Now the moderator declared that he could not moderate this and turned to his supporters: “Thank you for your support. Thank you for standing by me in this difficult time.” He also assures: “Stay healthy – we’ll see you again.” Had preceded a recent “Spiegel” report, in which new allegations are made against Mockridge through testimony of other women.
