The LUMIBIRD Group (FR0000038242 – LBIRD), European leader in laser technologies, announces the signing of a major contract for the supply of laser range finders for airborne applications in the field of defense.
Amounting around 20 million euros which is added to the existing activity on these products, this contract provides for the supply over three years, starting from the third quarter of 2024, of more than a hundred telemeters lasers, as well as financing to ensure the ramp-up of the production line.
This major success in the field of defense gives visibility over several years to Lumibird’s laser rangefinder activity. It also illustrates, particularly for critical applications in the airborne field, the technological excellence of the products offered by the Lumibird Group. This contract confirms the growing potential of laser technologies in the defense sector in which the group has invested significantly in recent years on its sites in Lannion, Villejust (France) and Gothenburg (Sweden) and for which it anticipates significant growth in the years to come.
The laser technologies offered by the Lumibird Group are today deployed and used throughout the world, by numerous forces, for airborne, naval and land applications, as well as for simulation activities.
