“Lupin”: filming and Omar Sy attacked by twenty robbers

In Nanterre, the filming of the famous Netflix series was targeted by people armed with fireworks this Friday. They left with an estimated booty of 300,000 euros.

No injuries are to be deplored but nearly 300,000 euros of equipment were stolen. Twenty hooded people attacked this Friday in Nanterre (Hauts-de-Seine) the filming of the second season of “Lupin”, in the presence of actor Omar Sy, to steal equipment.

The team was attacked with mortar fireworks around 3 p.m., during filming in the Pablo-Picasso district of this city in the Paris region, according to police sources.

Filming interrupted

Contacted by AFP, Netflix confirmed “the incident” and has “assured that the safety of the teams is a priority”. The company added “hope to be able to resume filming soon”.

After conquering tens of millions of Netflix subscribers around the world, Omar Sy put on his gentleman-burglar sneakers again for the long-awaited second part of “Lupin”, the American giant’s first made-in-France box and returned to the page of the sparkling hero created in 1905 by Maurice Leblanc.
