Cyprus, Mauritius, Istanbul – just a few holiday destinations that the 25-year-old had visited with the accused family. They commuted between Munich, Kitzbühel and Vienna, offering the nanny a real life of luxury. The couple is all the more surprised by the allegations: the charge is human trafficking. Descriptions could not be more different. They are said to have lured the young woman from Madagascar with false promises: instead of Germany, she was registered in Austria, which was not agreed. She would have had to work 13 hours a day for only a small amount of pocket money. She could only have dreamed of days off or even vacation. The accused 32-year-old is outraged: “We have made every effort to ensure that she comes to Europe and that she is better.” The victim only had to go for a walk with the one-year-old daughter – and only 18 hours a week. The payment: almost 500 euros. From which she alone had to pay for her private pleasure. The investor and his wife took care of the daily life of the 25-year-old. Victim missed the first day of the hearing “She lived like a maggot in a bacon coat,” the defense attorney compares. The 35-year-old defendant cannot explain why the victim should say something like that. However, the testimony of the au pair girl is still a long time coming. She missed the bus from Frankfurt to Vienna and will only testify at the next trial.
