(CercleFinance.com) – LVMH announces the acquisition of Swiza, owner of L’Epée 1839, a prestigious Swiss manufacture dedicated to the manufacture of high-end clocks, true objects of art containing
exceptional mechanisms and major complications.
This acquisition demonstrates the LVMH Group’s desire to preserve and develop historical know-how, in order to guarantee their

Based in Delémont, in the Swiss Jura, L’Epée 1839 has perpetuated exceptional watchmaking know-how for 185 years, serving creations imagined, developed and produced in-house.
‘L’Epée has initiated numerous watchmaking partnerships that we will maintain and develop with Arnaud Nicolas and I am delighted with the still untapped creative potential offered by the worlds of the different houses of the LVMH group associated with this exceptional know-how,’ commented Frédéric Arnault, Chairman and CEO of the LVMH Watches Division.
