LVMH: organic growth of 3% in sales in the 1st quarter


(CercleFinance.com) – LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton achieves sales of 20.7 billion euros in the first quarter of 2024, organic growth of 3% (-2% as reported).

‘ Europe and the United States are growing at comparable currencies and scope over the quarter; Japan achieves double-digit growth in sales; the rest of Asia reflects the strong growth in spending by Chinese customers in Europe and Japan,’ indicates the group.

The Fashion and Leather Goods activity achieved organic growth of 2% in sales to €10,490 million in the first quarter of 2024 (-2% as reported).

The Wines and Spirits activity recorded an organic drop of -12% in sales to €1,417 million (-16% as published). The Watches and Jewelry activity fell slightly by -2% organically to €2,466 million (-5% as published).

The Perfumes and Cosmetics activity posted organic growth of 7% in sales to €2,182 million (+3% as reported). In Selective Distribution, organic sales growth was 11% in the first quarter of 2024 at €4,175 million.
