The dry brush is stroked over dry skin towards the upper body and chest with long, gentle strokes. It is recommended to brush in the direction of the heart as this stimulates the lymphatic system in its natural direction. Beginning at the feet, light to medium pressure is applied upwards without irritating the skin. To stimulate digestion, simply stroke the stomach with circular movements and continue the movements above the chest in the direction of the heart. Finally, use a nourishing body oil or cream to lock in moisture after the scrub.

To drain the lymph fluid, the face is massaged with the fingertips. Always work from the center of the face up to the lymph nodes in the neck and ears. The key to a good lymphatic drainage massage is gentle movements. Because the lymph vessels are just under the skin, it’s important to use very light pressure. The massage always works upwards and outwards. After the neck, jawline and chin, gradually work your way to the mouth, nose and eyes and finally massage the forehead.
