On Monday night, a police crew on patrol at Quai Gailleton (2e district of Lyon) was attracted by a crowd around a motor vehicle turning and lights on. A man was knocking a woman down. The latter, refusing to stop, despite the warnings of the police, was tackled to the ground and arrested.
The victim, aged 31 and injured in the arch, asked the police why they had intervened, assuring that nothing had happened with her boyfriend.

The 36-year-old suspect was taken into custody. Very unfavorably known to the police, he explained that he did not remember anything because he had drunk too much. He was presented to the prosecution on Wednesday and will be tried in immediate appearance for aggravated violence.
