To the question of an Internet user who was trying to know what his first product from the Apple firm was, the Bloomberg journalist mentioned the iPod mini, then unveiled his first Mac: the iBook G4.

However, he did not stop there, and indicated that his current computer was a 16-inch MacBook Pro with an M1 Max chip. Mark Gurman then indicated that he did not find it justified to move to the new M2 or M3 Max versions, but that he could be tempted by the MacBook Pro M4, the development of the chip of this computer having just started according to him .

Incidentally, the journalist claims that Apple has worked on a chip embedding four M2 Ultras for its electric vehicle. As a reminder, different sources mentioned at the beginning of the month that the project had been abandoned by the American firm, putting an end to nearly ten years of development, and despite several billion dollars invested.

M3 chips continue to be deployed on Apple computers. After the iMac and MacBooks, including the Air models very recently, desktop Macs should also benefit in the coming months: the Mac mini, the Mac Studio and the Mac Pro. The launch of the MacBook Pro M4 would therefore wait until next year.

According to recent information fromEconomic Daily News, Apple would consider strengthening the processing capabilities of the neural engine (Neural Engine) of the M4 and A18 chips. For good reason, iOS 18 and macOS 15 should adopt a multitude of artificial intelligence features.
