Jeff Bezos' ex-wife remarried

The author MacKenzie Scott, the ex-wife of Amazon boss Jeff Bezos, has remarried. Her new husband is a teacher from Seattle.
The author MacKenzie Scott (50) remarried about two years after separating from Jeff Bezos (57). Her new husband is Dan Jewett, a Seattle school teacher. The couple announced this step in a statement to the donation organization "Giving Pledge". Scott worked with Bezos for 25 years to set up the online mail order company Amazon and was one of the very first employees there. After the separation in early 2019 and the subsequent divorce in April 2019, she received a share package worth around 32 billion euros.
A little later she announced that she wanted to donate a large part of the sum, but at least half of it, to charitable organizations. In the course of her donations, she became a member of "Giving Pledge", a charity for the super-rich founded by Bill Gates (65). For a long time Scott was considered the second richest woman in the world after the French industrialist heiress Francoise Bettencourt Meyers (67).
