Mac owners only have a few more days to wait before updating their computer to the next version of macOS.

If iOS 16 was released in the middle of September 2022, macOS Ventura is still waiting for many weeks.

A new version with discreet but useful improvements

The presentation of the next operating system took place in early June, during WWDC 2022, and since then Apple has multiplied beta versions for developers and the general public wishing to test the new features promised by the manufacturer.

Among the few visible new features of the system, we will mainly note Stage Manager, the new multitasking system which will also appear on iPad, a complete overhaul of “System Preferences”, very inspired by its equivalent on iOS, or the Mail application which is enriched with options such as the cancellation of the sending of an email or the programming of an email.

The wait will therefore have been long for Mac users, but it is finally about to end.

A launch planned in just a few days, with the MacBook Pro M2

As we know, Apple should very soon announce new MacBook Pro 14 and 16 inch M2, which will take over from the models released a little less than a year ago. As a general rule, the brand offers the update of its dedicated operating system in parallel with the launch of its new machines.

The journalist from Bloomberg Mark Gurman claims in his weekly newsletter that the launch of macOS Ventura should take place during the week of October 24. We can therefore expect, if this supposed schedule is respected, that the announcements of the new Macs will take place in the very next few days, with a release potentially set for the month of November.

Apple should also launch at the same time a new iPad Pro M2, which would be accompanied by iPadOS 16.1, the new OS designed for tablets. The latter had been delayed due to persistent bugs on the Stage Manager functionality. Apple will offer its new multitasking at launch, but without the functionality to use it on an external screen.
