Maestro VR: conduct a philharmonic orchestra with ease, from your living room!

Far from the electronic sounds and rhythms offered to us Beat Saber, Synth Riders or AudioTrip, Maestro VRdevelopped by Symphonic Gamesinvites us to slipping into the costume of an orchestra conductoror to wake up the child Karajan that lies dormant in each of us. Right out of the game, wand in hand, we will have the great privilege of guiding our musicians (also in costume) to interpret great world-famous works composed by Mozart, Beethoven or Bach, to name a few. In the trailer below, a classification seems to have been made by era: baroque, renaissance, classical… The catalog could therefore be quite substantial and, beyond the “playing” part, make it possible to better understand this type of music.

The soundtrack is said to be “spatialized”, the immersion should only be greater. It will be necessary to touch/point to notes indicated by color codes: the more precise we are, the better the orchestra will play the chosen piece. As we improve, we will be able to earn new wands to guide our little world, these allowing us to earn more points and thus experience. A Creative Fashion will also allow play our own pieces, as well as configure the orchestra in question ourselves. From a large philharmonic ensemble, the player can move on to a more restricted configuration, up to a small “chamber orchestra” type formation. Finally, a “spectator” mode is also part of the game, allowing, as its name suggests watch another player’s performance online.

Master VR 02

A version Meta Quest 2 is in progress, but, according to the developers of Symphonic Gamesthis should be more limited, without Creative Fashion nor of onlineat least for now.

So who to commit to a “small” Ride of the Valkyries of Wagner?
