Magnitude 3.7 – Lower Austria: Another earthquake in the Neunkirchen district


Another earthquake shook the earth in the Lower Austrian district of Neunkirchen. According to the ZAMG, vibrations were felt in the Gloggnitz area early on Friday evening.

As reported by the ZAMG, the earth shook around 6.30 p.m., shocks with a magnitude of 3.7 were registered. But not only in the Gloggnitz area, but also in the wider area, the quake was clearly felt, it said.

Recently, several earthquakes had shaken the region – the last for the time being on Tuesday night. The tremors could be felt as far as Vienna, Hollabrunn, Burgenland and Salzburg.
