Main station Salzburg – 33-year-old chasing man with a gun

A 33-year-old threatened and chased a 22-year-old with a weapon near the main train station in Salzburg yesterday evening. It turned out to be a blank gun. The gun, knife, and pepper spray were seized.

Violent scenes last night at Salzburg Central Station. The half-brother of a 33-year-old was injured in the jaw by a blow in the face. As a result, he pulled out a gun, ran after the 22-year-old and threatened him with wild gestures, the police reported. According to his own statements, the man pulled the gun to defend himself against alleged attackers. When the police arrived it turned out that it was “only” a blank gun. The 33-year-old was temporarily banned from weapons. After the search, the alarm pistol and magazine (pepper spray cartridges), a “karambit knife” and pepper spray were seized.
