Maisons du Monde attentive to the future of Habitat

(AOF) – Maisons du Monde fell by 0.81% to 4.64 euros in a context where Habitat, specializing in home furnishings and equipment, announced yesterday its placement in receivership due to “difficulties deep financial”. The brand taken over in 2020 will not have succeeded in raising the bar with a turnover increasing from 100 million euros at the time compared to 80 million euros in 2022.

“This situation illustrates the difficulties of the mid-range furniture market. The possible disappearance of the brand could allow Maisons du Monde to gain some market share while the positioning of the two brands is close,” indicates TP Icap Midcap.
