In Battlefield 2042 – Season 4: Last Minute, the battlefield moves to South Africa with a new map, Powder Keg. The rocky environment outside allows vehicles to move freely and take cover. As for the large interior spaces (including an underground tunnel), they favor close combat on foot or in vehicles.
Battlefield 2042’s new Specialist is Camila Blasco, an ambush expert. Trained in reconnaissance, she uses her tactical gear to navigate the environment without triggering motion detection technologies. His X6 Infiltration Device jams locks on enemy devices, interferes with active-spotting technologies, and creates dead zones where enemy technologies are flagged (until disabled or destroyed).
Battlefield 2042 – Season 4: Last Minute also adds a new arsenal of weapons as well as a vehicle and a gadget. The new Super 500 Compact Support Shotgun is a short-range weapon designed for breaching, but it’s also suited for close quarters combat. The RM68 is a versatile assault rifle equipped with an integrated silencer, which serves as a counterweight for increased stability and recoil control. The lightweight AC9 submachine gun has a special receiver for better control of hipfire. The new RPT-31 submachine gun has a reduced rate of fire, powerful ammunition and very high muzzle velocity, as well as a unique flip-up scope. In addition to these weapons, the sticky explosives of the SPH Explosive Launcher Gadget can cling to characters, objects, and vehicles, making it the perfect tool of destruction and anti-infantry weapon.
It will soon be possible to circulate in narrow spaces while protecting its passengers with the new CAV-Brawler vehicle. Allies can respawn next to him, even when he has no more spaces. This maneuverable infantry fighting vehicle is equipped with the active threat detection system and a close defense system, which launches grenades in all directions to defeat nearby infantry units.
Players now continue to define their role on the battlefield with the latest update to the class system, which divides each Specialist into one of four classic classes: Assault, Engineer, Scout, and Support. The class system also redefines the gear Specialists have access to, shaping better structured and more understandable roles. Additionally, they can experience a reworked version of the Dump map later this Season, which improves lines of sight and visibility, adds more cover to improve infantry combat, and includes better checkpoints, all-new areas and much more.
