Management wage reporting – Postfinance CEO is top earner at federal companies – News

  • Eight heads of federal companies earned over half a million Swiss francs last year – not including contributions to occupational pensions.
  • Postfinance CEO Hansruedi Köng took the absolute top spot with a salary of CHF 832,046.
  • This is shown by the management salary report published by the Federal Council.

Overall, the top earners among the heads of federal companies earned slightly more in the past year than in 2020. However, there were no major swings. In many cases, the increase was around 1.5 percent.

In contrast to the past, the top wages are well below the threshold of one million Swiss francs. Although Parliament recently rejected a fixed wage cap, the relevant bill apparently had an impact.

Post boss Roberto Cirillo occupies second place in the salary list behind König with CHF 821,285. They are followed by André Wall, CEO of Ruag International, with earnings of CHF 794,538. SBB boss Vincent Ducrot (757,382 francs) and Suva CEO Felix Weber (634,168 francs) are also among the top five earners in federal companies.
