Three suspects, including a minor, have been charged and jailed as part of the investigation into the stabbing death of a 16-year-old boy on Wednesday night near the Le Mans funfair, prosecutors said. Saturday.

“The three individuals (…) were indicted and placed in pre-trial detention” Friday evening, in accordance with the requisitions of the prosecution, said Le Mans prosecutor Delphine Dewailly in an email.

The magistrate announced on Friday the seizure of an investigating judge as part of an open judicial investigation for “assassination” and “violence committed in meetings”. The three suspects had been “arrested shortly after the facts” and the “clues collected” make “likely their presence on the scene”, according to the prosecutor.

The victim, a 16-year-old boy, died of “several stab wounds” early Wednesday evening, near the carnival, in the Panorama business area, in Le Mans.

The Territorial Direction of the judicial police of Angers and the police station of Le Mans are in charge of the judicial investigation.
