On the night of Tuesday May 3 to Wednesday May 4, scuffles broke out at Val Fourré in Mantes-la-Jolie (Yvelines) between around fifty individuals and the police.
On a security patrol in the Carennes sector, the officials were targeted by projectiles and firework mortars around midnight, according to a source familiar with the matter at CNEWS.

Called in as reinforcements to come to their aid and then put an end to the erected barricades and burning garbage cans, the CRS were targeted by 70 mortar rounds launched by a group of about fifty individuals.
The material assessment reported a hundred burnt bins and a degraded bus stop. Following these clashes, which ended around 2 a.m., an 18-year-old was arrested and then placed in police custody and two minor injuries were recorded in the ranks of the CRS.
