The unexpected departure of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle for America was a real bomb in the royal universe. Officially disengaging from their royal duties on March 31, 2020, the young couple decided to drop anchor in Montecito, California. Since then, their relationship with the British crown has been marked by moments of obvious tension. Between explosive statements to Oprah Winfrey in 2021 and the Netflix series depicting their struggle with royal duties, the duo hasn’t hesitated to enlighten the world about their experience within the monarchy. Harry’s memoirs, notably the episode where he discusses a dispute with his brother, Prince William, in 2019, have only intensified the discussions.
Phil Dampier, royal family expert, told Fabulous magazine his opinion on Harry’s social life in the USA. He believes that the prince is now mainly surrounded by Meghan’s friends. “He appears to have lost connection not only with his family and his royal role, but also with many close friends. Dampier said. “I doubt he has a solid group of friends to decompress with in Montecito.”
