Many new non-voters: CDU wins voters from almost everywhere – FDP gives up almost everyone

Lots of new non-voters
CDU wins voters from almost everywhere – FDP gives almost to everyone

The CDU wins the Berlin repeat election and is able to collect new supporters from almost all competitors. The coalition of the SPD, the Greens and the Left Party, which has ruled up to now, can no longer convince more than 120,000 former voters to cast their vote at all.

The CDU won votes from all other parties in the repeat of the elections to the House of Representatives in Berlin – but also lost some former supporters to the non-voter camp. According to the ARD analysis of voter migration, 52,000 former SPD voters voted for the CDU this time, and 29,000 votes came from the FDP. 23,000 former CDU voters did not vote this time.

In the SPD the picture looked mixed. While she lost votes to the CDU and also to the AfD, she won over former voters from the Greens, Left and FDP. 54,000 people who voted for the SPD in 2021 did not vote at all this time.

The greens only gained 5,000 votes from the Left Party, they lost voters to all other parties. 31,000 former Greens supporters did not vote at all. 2000 of them voted for the FDP this time.

To all other parties gave the FDP vote against it, most to the CDU. 25,000 former FDP voters became non-voters.

The left lost voters to all other forces except to the FDP, especially many to the CDU – namely 10,000. 40,000 former left-wing supporters did not vote this time.

Also the AfD lost to the non-voter camp, namely 26,000. She gave 5,000 votes to the CDU, but won some former voters from the SPD, the Greens and the Left.
