After creating the buzz with the documentary I am not a slut, I am a journalist, Marie Portolano revealed Thursday, December 30, 2021 to Parisien that she is working on a new film, on the theme of violence against women.
Former recurring face of sports broadcasts Canal + for several years, Marie Portolano made a significant shift in her television career, joining the group M6 few months ago. While the former columnist of the Football Club Channel debuted on the channel at the helm of several programs focused on Euro 2020 matches, the sports journalist has also tried his hand at entertainment, presenting several bonuses that have met with mixed success. Furthermore, Marie Portolano now hosts The best pastry chef alongside Cyril Lignac and Mercotte, since the departure of Julia Vignali on France 2.
While the presenter transferred to M6 was a real surprise, the companion of comedian Grégoire Ludig (Palmashow) made about her for her work just before her departure from Canal +. In fact, the encrypted channel aired a documentary titled I’m not a bitch, I’m a journalist, which she fully realized. Containing many revelations, along with poignant testimonies from women journalists confronted with sexism in sports writing, this film prompted the management of several media to launch internal investigations into the actions of some of their journalists towards women. Like a symbol, the documentary by Marie Portolano led to the departure of Pierre Ménès from the group Canal +.
Marie Portolano: a new documentary in preparation for the presenter
Asked by The Parisian Thursday, December 30, 2021, the presenter of Best Pastry Chef, whose final will take place the same day from 9:05 p.m. on M6, spoke about her future projects within the group led by Nicolas de Tavernost. The journalist notably revealed that she is working on a new documentary, whose theme will be violence against women. “All of them experienced something that overflowed with more or less seriousness. But it’s complicated to investigate this topic. Many do not dare to speak. We will be interested in this blockage. This is my 2022 site“, she explained, without however specifying on which channel and in which box this film will be programmed.
