Little room for maneuver
Marine Le Pen, however, declared to AFP on Sunday that she did not want to debate with the head of state until after the elections, “in September”. “She wishes to address current national issues a little more broadly, in particular the question of purchasing power, insecurity, immigration, health which are the major concerns of our fellow citizens today,” said Jordan Bardella.
“But I fear that this very limited time which now separates us from the European elections actually offers very little room for maneuver” to organize this debate, underlined Jordan Bardella, recalling that he himself already had a debate with Gabriel Attal on May 23.
