Marine Le Pen voted in Hénin-Beaumont

The candidate of the National Rally Marine Le Pen voted Sunday shortly after 11 a.m. in her stronghold of Hénin-Beaumont (Pas-de-Calais) for the second round of the presidential election which opposes her to Emmanuel Macron, noted the AFP. The candidate arrived on foot at the polling station, taking the time to walk in the crowd, accompanied by the RN mayor of the town since 2014, Steeve Briois, and an assistant to the latter, deputy Bruno Bilde.

She deposited her ballot in the ballot box, smiling, in front of the photographers. Many journalists were present, including foreign media, lined up behind the assessors. Ms. Le Pen was to have lunch at the home of Mr. Briois before leaving for Paris in the early afternoon. She must then go around 6:30 p.m. to the RN election evening.
