For a new film role, Mark Wahlberg has decided to put on 15 kilos and he’s almost there. Now his personal chef reveals what exactly Mark has eaten in the last six weeks, only to get that increase in a short period of time.

Actor Mark Wahlberg, 49, is known for keeping his body fit and toned and likes to post his muscle-packed training successes on Instagram. But for his new film “Father Stu” there is a U-turn in his otherwise mega-healthy nutrition plan. Wahlberg is determined to gain 15 kilos in just six weeks.

Mark Wahlberg: His head chef provides him with 7,000 calories a day

The actor’s personal chef, Lawrence Duran, now reveals in an interview with the US show “E-News” the exact nutrition plan with which Wahlberg wants to achieve his goal. Anyone who thinks that Mark only eats a lot of junk food is wrong, because there is actually a science behind it. “We’re trying to get 7,000 calories a day, but it’s not easy for anyone to eat that much. We split that up into eight smaller meals,” said the star chef. Lawrence explains that the actor eats a meal “about every three hours”.

Eight meals and at least 12 eggs a day

“Mark’s day starts at 3 a.m., which is the time for his first breakfast. Mark’s breakfast usually consists mostly of eggs, followed by another breakfast three hours later with more eggs, bacon, and rice. It’s his high-protein weight gain, at the same time also maintain muscle, “explains Lawrence. The rest of Mark’s day is also very high in protein with ground beef, turkey, and beets. “For dinner there is a protein-rich meal consisting of 300 grams of steak and 300 grams of fish such as sea bass or halibut,” said Lawrence. “Carbohydrates and at least a dozen eggs a day are important,” he explains.

On Cheat Day there is pasta, pizza and cookies

Of course, the process is also overseen by Mark’s doctors, who do regular blood tests. Six days a week Mark eats whatever his chef puts in front of him, but the seventh day of the week is Mark’s Cheat Day. “On Sundays he goes to one of his favorite restaurants and treats himself to pasta or pizza. He likes biscuits for dessert, that’s what he has a weakness for.” The action star has already put on ten kilos in this way and continues to eat merrily.
