Mark Zuckerberg: He's in the illustrious "100 billion dollar club"

Mark Zuckerberg's fortune just keeps growing. He is now the youngest person to have ever joined the "100 Billion Dollar Club".

It doesn't get much more exclusive: Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg (36) has been in the illustrious "Centibillionaire Club" since last Thursday, roughly translated as the "100 billion dollar club". The BBC reports. Only two other people in the world can show a sum with eleven zeros after the one in their bank account: Amazon boss Jeff Bezos (56) and Microsoft founder Bill Gates (64).

The reason for the additional rain of money from the youngest member of the mega billionaires was therefore the publication of Instagram Reels last Wednesday. This is an in-house (Instagram belongs to Facebook) competitor to TikTok, which is immensely popular among young people.

As in the Chinese app, users can use Instagram Reels to create short video clips and share them with the world. Not least because US President Donald Trump (74) has announced that he wants to ban the controversial TikTok application in the USA, the exchange reacted with a sharp increase in the value of the Facebook campaign.
