Around 11:15 p.m., detonations were heard in the street in the Notre-Dame-Limit district (15th arrondissement).
When the police arrived, an unconscious man, seriously injured by a bullet, was found at the entrance of a residence. He died on the spot despite the intervention of the emergency services.
The man was known to the police.
Wednesday evening, in another district in the north of the city, an 18-year-old young man was killed by a burst of automatic weapons fired from a car which immediately fled. A 17-year-old minor who accompanied him had also been injured in the leg.
In 2021, 15 people were killed in settling of scores related to drug trafficking, according to a count by the Marseille police headquarters, compared to 12 in 2020 and 10 in 2019.
